Meet the Cast
Stevie Lyons as Sylvia Isben
Stevie Lyons has been acting for over twenty years, appearing in dozens of plays and short films. Moving to North Bay in 2009 to pursue a degree in Theatre, Stevie began writing Lavenders Blue as an exercise in a playwriting class and never looked back. From the play version that she produced in 2012, to the feature film Lavenders Blue has been a project of love and determination. Previous acting credits include Jean Brodie in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (Rep21), Anne Shirley in Anne of Green Gables (Take the Stage), and Beth March in Little Women (OSLT).
Shawn Parker as Charlie Carlisle
Originally from Toronto, Shawn met Stevie in 2012 when he moved to North Bay to take the Theatre Arts program at Canadore College. After playing Tommy in some early test footage shot in 2013, Shawn was offered the role of Charlie and has been an integral part of the project ever since. Some of his previous credits include Oliver in As You Like It (Rep21) and Nathan Ark in the 2014 film The Missionary Position.

Janet Hilliard as Lydia Fairman
Janet responded to an online casting call in 2014 when Stevie and Stephanie Fehr were looking to fill out the rest of the cast. Impressed by the dignity and thoughtfulness that Janet brought to the role, the creative team instantly felt that no one else could fill the role of Aunt Lydia. Janet also recently appeared in the 2016 Cannes Festival Selection Two Lovers and a Bear and the sci-fi drama Into the Azure.

Sebastien Godin as Tommy Lander
An accomplished independent filmmaker in his own right, Sebastien and Stevie connected when they both started the Canadore Digital Cinematography program in 2014. After originally joining the project in a crew capacity, Sebastien moved to the role of Tommy not long before principal photography began and has proved to be a talented actor and the perfect fit for the role.

Tammy-Lynn Wilcox as Nancy Lander
Like Janet, Tammy-Lynn also responded to the open casting call. A Sudbury based actress, Tammy-Lynn's passion won her the role of Nancy, mother of Tommy and Lydia's best friend. Having been cast in numerous film roles in Northern Ontario productions, she was an eager and valuable addition to the project. Some of her other film credits include Jo Ranger in The Pasta Killer and Patty in Sleepwalking.

Jodie Taylor as Kate Trent
Another alumni of the Canadore Theatre Arts program, Jodie and Stevie met in 2011 and have been looking for the right opportunity to work together ever since. A talented actress with experience in both stage and film, Jodie brought the perfect mixture of maturity and intelligence to the role of Kate which was exactly what the producers were looking for. Previously she has played Elizabeth in Laundry and Bourbon (Rep21) and Nighthawk in the film O-Getche Tahk.

Cha Muzzerall as Jenny Elben
Cha is a North Bay based actress that has an impressive number of acting credits to her name. Having previously worked with Stevie on the short film My Mother's Love, the two were excited to have the opportunity to work together again. Some of Cha's most recent film credits include An Unimaginable Friendship, Exploit, and Go With The Flow.
